Project Description

Erasmus+ Key Action 107 Programme enables the exchange of academic staff and students between the University of Science and Technology, Norway and the Department of Statistic and Applied Informatics of the Faculty of Economy. Lead partner of this project is the the University of Science and Technology, Norway. The project started in 2015 and has a duration of 2 years. Six students of the “Economic Informatics” study program will participate in one academic year exchange at the University of Science and Technology, Norway. Two Master students from the University of Science and Technology, Norway will participate in an exchange for a five months period at the Department of Statistic and Applied Informatics of the Faculty of Economy, at the meantime one doctoral student will participate in three months period exchange at the University of Science and Technology, Norway. Three lecturers from the Department of Statistic and Applied Informatics of the Faculty of Economy will be able to give lessons for a period of two weeks at the University of Science and Technology, Norway where also two lectors/administrative staff from the Department of Statistic and Applied Informatics will be trained.

“Mathematical Modelling and Simulation in Business Informatics”

Project Description

The project aims to achieve the exchange of knowledge in the fields of modeling and mathematical simulation and their application in the field of economy and business. Austrian Team will contribute to increased knowledge on modeling and simulation in various research fields. Albanian Team will provide experience and knowledge in the field of business informatics, information systems and business processes. The concept of modeling and simulation will be adapted in order to create models according to the requirements of Economic Informatics Study Program. Formulating these models is the duty of the Albanian group, while the implementation of the system of knowledge, in terms of modeling and simulation is the duty of the Austrian team. Another goal of the project is to establish joint scientific contributions to conferences and journals about the application of methods of modeling and computer simulation in the field of economic and business processes. Part of the project is the realization of several workshops in Vienna and Tirana and the publication of this cooperation results. Thanks to this project, lecturers from TUW (Austria) continue to provide full courses in English of the subjects related to knowledge modeling and simulations in business computing for Economic Informatics Master’s students.

Project Description

This project aims to involve students of the region creating Audio/Video. The project will be implemented during the 2013-2016 period. During the project, various competitions were held for the students of the region and the students of Economic Informatics Study Program, Faculty of Economy have acquired the production of 20 films in total. The focus of the project is to create a stable platform for collaboration between students of the participating countries and strengthen the impact of students in society through partnerships and collaboration with non-academic institutions, media, improvement of curricula and cooperation among students through coproduction of audio / video content.

Project Description

CEEPUS network aims at sharing knowledge in the field of modeling and simulation between the network partners and as well as the development of applications in the field of economy. The project brings together partners from different disciplines and the students who will be part of this network will be able to take advantage of a multi-disciplinary education. Other project partners are higher education institutions from Austria, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Hungary, Slovenia and Kosovo.

Project Description

This scientific research project will be implemented in the period 2014-2017. The project is related to companies’ qualification, through knowledge management and transferring them in production, in the management of absorbed capacities from knowledge gained, by improving the interaction between companies in EU countries and their affiliates in other countries, increasing production and benefits. Lead partner of the project is the University of St. Gallen in Switzerland and its partners are in Romania, Macedonia and Albania.

Project Description

Linnaeus-Palme is a project for student/academic staff exchange and mutual visits between the University of Tirana and Linnaeus University, Sweden. Within this project, two members of the department of statistic and applied informatics were given the opportunity to teach master's students in the University Linnaeus in Sweden, while two Swedish professors have taught to Economic Informatics master’s students at the Faculty of Economy.
