Entry requirement(s) in this study programme
Students who have completed a bachelor programme in any of branches of the Faculty of Economy, University of Tirana, are admitted in the Master program without any additional requirement of fulfilling basic educational knowledge. Students who have completed a bachelor program in other Faculties of the Economy (public / private - national / foreign), are admitted after formal recognition of their diplomas, under relevant regulations of the Faculty of Economy, University of Tirana.
Also students who own a BSc in Social Sciences, Political Sciences, Law and Agro-business faculties from public and private, domestic and foreign higer education institutions are admitted only after formal recognition of their diplomas, under relevant regulations of the Faculty of Economy, University of Tirana.
Other eligibility criteria (if any) for master's admission include: holding of a BSc diploma with average over a certain level according to relevant regulations of FEUT; holding of a BSc diploma from foreign colleges/universities after their recognition, with average over a certain level according to relevant regulations of FEUT; other criteria (if the number of applications exceeds the maximum number of students): a - written test on logical knowledge; and/or b - average of special qualification disciplines over a certain level according to relevant regulations of FEUT
Objectives and overview of the study programme
The programme of Professional Master in Public Administration, aims to prepare professionals able to meet future needs and challenges in the public sector. This programme aims to provide opportunities for students to experience a visionary education, increase their competitiveness by focusing on the strong link between theory and practice, as a key factor for the effectiveness of this programme. This Master Programme intends to prepare successful public administrators, able to operate in both central and local government, and in nongovernmental organizations as well. The main objective of this study programme is the education of experts and specialists in the field of public administration. Professional Master's Programme in Public Administration mainly offers practical education to achieve professional goals in the field of public administration, with the aim of equipping students with the skills and the deep applicative knowledge in this field, in order to guarantee a successful professional career in public sector.
This study programme aims to integrate in-depth theoretical and practical knowledge in the field of public administration, through a teaching appoach based on best practices, to foster the students' creativity and critical thinking, to address solutions for various problems faced by public organizations today. Professional Master's in Public Administration Programme aims to provide a comprehensive system of knowledge and it is focused in the areas of:
- Management of public organizations
- Successful implementation of strategies and public policies;
- Financial Management of public organizations
- Monitoring and evaluation of performance of public organizations etc.
The student's assessment scheme runs from mark 1 to 10 which have the following meaning: 1-4 fail, 5-6 sufficient, 7 satisfactory, 8 good, 9 very good, 10 excellent.
Exams are evaluated on a point basis system, the result of which is converted into marks based on the following schema:

After completing this programme of study, the students have accumulated all the necessary skills with a high level of theoretical and practical knowledge. This degree enables them to be employed in central and local government institutions, and nongovernmental organizations, etc. as a specialist in the relevant field of study, or in the role of public administration.
